Over the Thanksgiving holiday we were blessed to be visited by Gary and Janice, Josh's parents. On Friday the four of us took Claire to the Oakland Zoo for her first time. It was my first time to the Oakland Zoo and I was quite impressed. Now, the Oakland Zoo is no San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park but that would be a tall order. The Oakland Zoo was a manageable size for an afternoon trip. The animals were out and active - especially the big cats. The Lions were roaring - I would not want to encounter that noise in the wild.
